Hand carved from wood, these are intricate carvings of an African Tent Post on a stand. This original one of a kind piece shows beautiful delicate design, like African lacework on a stand, and was made by putting in hours of work inspired by vintage pieces. Originating in Niger and tradtionally called an Ehel, these formed part of the basic furnishing found in any upper class Tuareg's tent. They are dominated by geometric bands of subtle colour gradations, and highlighted by intricate hand carvings.
