Adventurous, creative and entrepreneurial, Denise Zidel is the force behind Snob Stuff.
Denise believes one of life’s simplest pleasures is to be surrounded by things that have been lovingly crafted by hand. To this end, she hand picks each and every piece on offer, cultivating relationships with the artists, designers and artisans who create the works of functional art and fine furnishings. The products you find here are rich in colour, texture, and history, and have a strong cultural voice that is sure to echo throughout your home. When you admire weaving, beading, carving or hand-work you will feel this unique blend of craftsmanship and culture. You’ll also find many pieces celebrate natural forms and organic textures, which work to connect us to the earth.
Snob’s offerings are innovative, unique and one-of-a-kind. They marry the exotic with refined sophistication. And Denise, as a tastemaker and citizen of the world, has become a design authority in her own rite, sharing her eye and expertise to bring spaces, big and small, together across the globe.
“The beautiful people of Africa have expressed their abundance of energy and talent to produce exquisite products of modern design and art. Moreover these workers, craftsmen, women and designers share their stories through their work. The relationships I’ve formed with these artists have renewed my spirit and my approach to life. It is this spirit that imbues their work and I hope you enjoy these pieces as much as I do.” – Denise
